Comparing the Pitch, Yaw and Roll of the Craps Dice

When you are playing a game of craps, you should be familiar with the terms pitch, roll and yaw. Yaw is the motion of the craps dice or to put it simply, the motion of the axis of the dice is a yaw. You can compare a pitch on the motion of an airplane when it climbs up and down. When a wing of an airplane goes up or down can be compared to the roll of a dice. When you are concentrating on controlling the craps dice to some degree, you want to set aside the element of roll and yaw because you want to have a perfect throw. You want the pair of dice to throw in the same direction and stop in the same number that you originally fix them to be.

Like if you have fix for a hardway wager, remove the roll and yaw factor, the pair of dice will stop in the same number. As the pair of dice throws forward together, there will be only a single set of a hardway that can be seen on the very top of the dice. Now if one dice has more spin or energy compared with the other dice, there is a very big possibility that it will continue to spin forward or pitch forward after the other dice stops. If it has an additional pitch, it is classified as a ¼ pitch or one pitch.

It is classified as a ¼ pitch because it has an extra ¼ turn when you tossed it. If it possess two more pitches that the bottom ends up on the upper part of the dice then it is called a double pitch. If a single craps dice has another ¼ turn in a vertical direction then it is classified a ¼ yaw.

If a craps dice turn another ¼ turn in a clockwise direction (right direction) or counter clockwise direction (left direction) that is classified as a quarter roll. The meaning of a secondary hit is when one of the craps dice or both of the craps dice stops on one of the other side of dice a ¼ pitch, yaw or even a roll + or - from the normal set.

It also means that one craps dice turns another ¼ turn from the normal set in either a pitch, roll, or yaw. The + and - just means the movement of the dice. Whether it is a forward or backward movement, clockwise or counter clockwise direction or a counter clockwise and clockwise direction on the vertical axis or a yaw.
